i decided to take the airbox lid off since i have the clamp-on filter now. i also cant believe how much cleaner my swingarm is now. some parts need some more attention, but ill need to take off the plastics and wheels to get it all and im a little too lazy to do that. ill try to get some riding pics when my girlie and i go riding on monday. anyone think i could be eligible for QOTM?

Looks sharp ;D

Little tip for getting that chain lube off swing-arm is Goo-Gone, it wipes right off

Simple green is better in my opinion. You don't have to wipe nothing off just spray it off....But I think he used simple green or I think he mentioned that in a post before..

yes yes yes. motherfuckin simple green is the bomb-biggity! it took most of that **** off. i was just a little afraid to use it so close to my chain. i think i need to take off the rear wheels, fender, and airbox to get a good shot at the rest of the swingarm and linkage. might do that sometime, but for now its good. im going to deepwater on monday if the weather holds up, so im sure it will get dirty again soon.

I spray simple green all over my chain..Have done it for a year now. No problems, other then my chain being clean...

cool pics but how many psi do you have in your back tires?

right on pelphrey. ill give that a try instead of buying a chain scrubber kit for something like $25. are you sure it wont damage the o-rings in the chain? also, do you use chain lube or chain wax? i use maxima chain wax since it is the shiznitt! 20warrior01, im not sure how many PSI i have in my rears. do they look like they have too much or something? i know they look a little ballooned, but i like to run adequate pressure. not sure how much X-Driv recommends though.

I run usually 2.5 PSI in my rear HDs. I also use maxima chain wax and love it. But yeah I spray my quad with water then spray EVERYTHING with simple green except for my plastics. I push my quad back and forth while I spray the chain. I will then hand wash the plastics while the simple green kicks the dirts ass. Then I'll spray off and repeat a few times. I like to leave the simple green on for 10-15 minutes and do that a couple of times, thats when I get my best results.

Like I said I push my quad back and forth and spray the hell out of it. I bought a chain scrubber for like 10 bucks like 6 months back. I'll use that every once in awhile after I spray simple green on my chain. But mostly I spray on, let sit for 10-15 then spray off with water.

I've had no problems at all with my chain. The **** that builds up in the chain falls right out when I spray the simple green off. I use a harder stream of water for this also. Not a pressure washer just the straight jet on my normal hose. All that nasty wax build up and dirt just slides right out...

I use a towel to dry all the plastics and I spray air on other parts of the quad so that water doesn't sit there and turn to rust.

It takes me awhile to clean it, but I appreciate it, and I've been like that always with everything I own. Take my time do it right. If its muddy it gets washed.

you might want to check the pressure in them. personally i wouldnt go over 3 psi. i dont know what everyone else runs theirs at.

nice...look's much better cleaned up..idk how much psi..but those tire's sure do look big tho..i also run 2 1/2 psi rear in 3psi front.....i just wash my raptor whit car wash wax..in after i dry it off..i spray it whit spray in shine it work's good..it's like $6 at my delership....but my raptor never been throw any mud r anything tho...but nice bro..

thanks guys. ill check the pressure in my tires when i get a chance. its raining right now, so both the warrior and 300ex are getting "naturally washed". i just wish it would stop raining! ill try the simple green on my chain. it could use a good cleaning. so it hasnt hurt the o-rings in your chain, huh? well, sounds good to me.

i use both Grease lightning and Simple Green iv likes Grease Lightning for the frame the best and simple green for the plastic and tires

cool. well, i got both the yammerhaw and hoe-nda back out to the barn at the land so they can stay out of the rain. i gotta be careful about the warrior b/c i got some rust coming in around the foot board things. not a whole lot, but im going to let the warrior dry out and paint over the spots where the frame paint has worn off (from boots and bottom of a-arms) so i dont get any more rust.
