OK, I'm trying to decide if i should remove my air box lid. Before everyone yells YES, here are my concerns. Right now I have a K&N filter w/outerwares, dynojet kit, FMF powerbomb and Supertrapp pipe. The thing runs great. Never hesitates or hiccups at all. But I want more power. I am worried about taking the lid off and going to more radical jetting because it runs so sweet now. I have had jetted street bikes in the past that have been headaches with temp changes and what not. What should I do? I have all the parts to go "stage 2". so all I need to do is cut the lid, or get a pro kit filter.
Oh yeah, and I live in upstatte NY where the temp could be 70 and beautiful one day, and 90 and humid the next.

I,m piped ,jetted cammed, Lid cut...............When I ran the stock carb I had no problems that were noticable due to weather..........Maybe in the winter. but I never rode much whe n it was cold.

I,m in norhteast PA. Weahter just like yours basicallly

i wouldnt get too excited about jetting after cutting the lid. just cut it see how she runs and go from there. if it feels sluggish at 3/4 to WOT then go up on your main jet.
