Well i got a bonus from work so i figured i should use it on the raptor so i ordered from "Sweetquads" a Powerpak kit (k&n, outwear, jet kit) :) and i should get some extra coin here soon for the HMF ;D to go with it.

wondering what everybodys first impressions were when they took there stock machine and did what im going to do? like what was your first though?

and has anybody ever dealt with sweetquads?

and kind of horsepower #'s should i expect?

should be here next week ;D

well i got the powerpack too, but i never installed it until i put on my yoshi.. but i got a big power increase then.. cant say for just the powerpack though.. you should wait to install the jetkit until you get your HMF.

i second that: wait for the pipe, it is worth the wait. the jump is nice, you feel it all around, and it makes it alot more fun of a machine to ride. the wheelie capability goes up a ton with the bottom end with much more power. i got my hmf from sweetquads to i think, but i know i bought somthing from them. good ppl!

Just the k&n filter isn't going to give you much power, you won't be able to feel a difference unless you remove the airbox lid. Maybe 1 hp with the lid on, 3 hp with the lid off.

Yeah I got my air filter a week before my pipe. I waited, mainly becuase I didn't want to jet it twice. It was well worth the wait...

I have a power kit to but i got mine from dtdyno.com...it also came whit k&n air filter, jet kit,in outer wear...in i still have my stock exhaust on...but im gonna oreder me either a LRD full exhaust..r a yoshi full exhaust soon..im stage 2 jet kit..in a hotcam..r webcam r something soon maybe... ;D

i have a question here, ppl say to remove the air box lid but i ride in so many different conditions that it wouldn't be the best idea. ... so should i drill some 1" holes and get the inserts or should i get one of those lids from EHSracing?

The ehs lid would be better, but really if you get an outerwears on the filter it would keep the mud and water out, and cost a lot less. The only thing the outerwears prefilter isn't good for is if you go through water deep enough that it could go over the airbox lid, then you should probably just be safe and keep the stock lid and snorkel on.

Well even in the summer i still can run into a creek crossing so i think i will keep the lid, would the ehs lid help everything breath better enough to take advantage of the k&n?

It would make it breathe better, but I wouldn't trust it for going through water where the lid would be submerged.

hah well last night i went through the worst tank traps ever i went into a pond that looked shallow enough until i started to float
