My steering stem feels loose (has play in it). Any advice??

Didn't know it had a bearing might be that . I can turn it slight (rough estimate) half inch before it turn tires and i can shake it slightly with out making the wheels move . So I'm assuming bearing is bad

So I have to replace this whole piece ??

I hope this works I just don't see what the loose feel/play has to do with the tie rid end but whom I'm I to know lol im still a newbie

Do yourself a favor and get the MOOSE or ALLBALLS 12mm HD tie rod kit. They run about 85 on ebay.

I was playing around today and noticed that when I move it the play is more up towards the steering stem clamp. Is that normal or should the stem be stiff no play at all???

agreed better to be safe cause if one of those rod ends goes its not gunna be pretty.
