I recently purchased a warrior and it ran great for a couple months but lately its been giving me alot of trouble. I kno my way around an engine but im not a 100% sure so i figured id get yalls help. The problems are that i keep having to replace clutch cables and im not sure but i think my rings are bad because it sputters when its running (if its running). I checked the oil and theres gas in it. Gas is also in the airbox. Please help me!

take the carb off and clean and get a rebuild kit and rebuild it
if the rings were bad it would smoke when running

Rebuild what top end or bottom? Like i said im not to familiar with atvs. and how do you clean your carb?

get a carb rebuild kit from ebay
I think you should get a CLYMER warrior repair manual for yourself to that will show you how to do everything it's just like a Chilton for cars except it's for atv's,dirtbikes, and stuff
and then take the carb off and start by taking the bowl off (just remember where everything goes. there might even be a how to clean carb thread on here somewhere

@YAMAHAULER Where would i find a Clymer and it doesnt smoke just backfires but it doesnt sound good at all.

@88WarriorBoy When I first got it, it needed a cable. Then after about a month or 2 of good riding the cable got a little harder to pull then one day it stopped working.

here is a link for the Clymer

It's probably backfiring because the carb needs cleaning if there is gas in oil you need to drain it right away and put fresh oil and oil filter in make sure he oil is for wet clutches automotive oil is bad and clean and rebuild carb before trying to start again. also how dirty is the air filter?

did you try adjusting the clutch cable? there is a lot of adjustment on both ends of cable

@YAMAHAULER Im going to drain the oil and check out the carb when i get a chance. The air filter is pretty dirty and the foam is pretty tore up its going to need replacing. Im not to worried about the clutch cable right now. My main goal is to just getting it running again.

@88WarriorBoy I do believe it backfires at idle. Its been a couple months since its ran. It mainly spits and sputters tho, when you give it gas it bogs down. The carb deff needs to be cleaned cause when you hold it WOT its like the carb is trying to suck for gas.

ok definitely get rebuild kit for carb clean it get a new air filter
what year is it?

cause the carb is probably flooding because it's gummed up inside and the float might be sticking gas will always make it past the rings even brand new ones if it doesn't smoke white smoke when running I wouldn't worry about the rings you have a carb prob

Thanks for finding a how to vid 88
he still hasn't told me what year the warrior is though
