So before I left for work I tore her up(bent valve), from my stupidity.
Here is what is on it at the moment:
GYTR slip on
Torq header
38mm Mikuni (still working on the jetting)
0.020" 10.25:1 Wiseco
Pro Design Air filter adapter

Here is my situation. My bike is not a built one, I'm still building it.
I have a Megacycle 252x1 cam and head coming from Levi to fix my bent valve issue. I could just replace my stock valves and slap it together and go, but I was thinking of using that cam? I couldn't find alot of feedback on it.
Will it suck for trail riding? Will it be less reliable? Is it a waste of my time? Should I use it for trading material?
I'm not afraid of investing in the HD springs and such if it is worth it.
Has anyone used this cam and had good results on a stock stroke motor?

I'll have to see what springs and retainers are in the head that it is in. It looked to have the stock valves in it. I couldn't tell on the springs yet. I wouldn't think someone would install that cam, mod the head so that it would fit, and not use the correct springs? Although they did put it in with stock valves? It doesn't make much sense.
I would kind of like to know how this cam acts from someone who is running it. I might be wasting my time and money? But then again might be fun to try it?

tell ya the truth I don't know of anyone on this forum that runs one. Although I do believe the 1998 has one just hasn't used it but don't quote me on that lol

If you dont like it, ill try it! You will need aftermarket springs for that cam tho, and stock valves aren't that bad so no worries

i mean ya but the cam works best with at least a 85mm 10.5-1 JE or a stroker go ahead and try it though i just wouldnt expect much bottom end but you'll have a nice powerband

That cam is mainly top end. It is designed for flat track and tt racing. It's BIG. I'm using it in my stroker, just need to get the porting and boring done before I can use it. My friend recently bought a warrior with that cam installed, 38mm mikuni, full fmf exhaust, k&n, and what he was told was a dome piston. 1st time he really rode it was back in Sept. at a poker run we went on. He loved it, said he had no issues pulling the front end up over obstacles. Megacycle reccomends using the wiseco with that cam. But, the bottom end will suffer. Installing a vito's key will help to give some of that "snap" back.

I forgot to mention I do have the +4 key installed.
What if I change my gearing? That should help with moving the usable power to slower bike speed?
I've still got about 28 more days to think about this and get the parts I need to the house.
All of this information is very helpful.
I don't do a lot of high speed blasts. I do more trail riding than anything but a mid/high power band would help with climbing hills.
