Well first off when the "Raptor" 350 was first release Hotcams released a cam for it not taking any note to any changes in the motor that had been made. So to make a long story short "Raptor" 350 owners/dealers were putting these Hotcams in and their top-ends were being mutilated and exploding. After months of installs, new cylinder heads, and dealers/people scratching their heads trying to figure out what they had done wrong for the install to backfire on them so badly Hotcams stepped up and said it was their fault and discontinued the "Raptor" 350 line of cams. Furthermore due to their lengthy disclaimer on each one of their product boxes (it pretty much says even if our product sucks, is completely faulty, and blows up in your machine we are not responsible no matter what) they were freed from all possible liability claims and protected from any lawsuits; all this while consumers and dealers soaked up hundreds and thousands in losses and repair costs.
So as you can see Hotcams really does some research on products before they release them…
Aside from the ******** claims they make about standing behind their products the gains you get from one are MINIMAL. Go with a company that tests their products for years before they are released (Powroll, FST, and a handful of others); they offer superior gains, better support, longevity, and aren’t a waste of money like a hotcam.
After their abortion of a cam for the “Raptor 350” do they offer one again? I have no idea if they do or not I have not looked.
