Well this weekend i watched the Cavalcade of the Stars at my home dra strip in Norwalk, Ohio. The main show was with 12 Top Alcohol funny cars and i think there were 10 or so Top Dragsters, which were either Nitro injected blown Hemis, or Blown Alcohol Hemis. These were going anywhere from low 6 to mid 5 seconds in the 1/4 mile. Pretty awesome to watch really. But the ole lady wanted a shirt from one of the teams and they were selling a piston and rod that went BOOM. The piston has a 2 inch hole burnt threw it from the motor getting lean on the top end for a split sec. Well.... the pics speak for themselves.....
The rod on the bottom is out of my 5.0 L mustang motor that i blew up.

The pit crewsaid they rebuild these motors every 3 passes and the pistons are aroung 80 bucks a piece! They didnt say how much the rods were but i bet they aint cheap!!! Its all made from a solid billet forged block.:iagree:
