So this is way off topic on here, but I was wondering if anybody knows where I could find some decent info on these motors?

I just picked up an 85' Chrysler Lebaron GTS. It has 100,000 miles (Yes it's an american car california actually), and I bought it from the original owner.

I would like to find out how much boost the T1 turbo can make, the best way to put an intercooler on it, and maybe even the best way to drop it a few inches??

Can anybody help me?

Do some reseach I do know they were known for fried turbos and blown headgaskets.
Yah I read about that too.
I did find a lot of good info on T2 swaps, and I could do the head gasket on this car blindfolded. lol
I would really like to know how to lower it a bit, but there is no such thing as drop springs for the Lebaron/Lancer..
Info on these cars is sketchy at best though.

Is it coil over shocks front and rear?
Struts up front. Coils, and shocks out back.

I could cut the rears, but the fronts might be a bit tricky.. I was thinking about hitting the junk yard for some Daytona struts, and springs. Maybe those will fit this oldschool tuner... lol

I just drove it home, and it ran good. But it definitely needs a tune up, and a new boost line. (The boost cut's in and out. I think the line has a crack in it)

Sweet Mathius..!!!...I own (for 10+yrs) a 92 Dodge Shadow ES Turbo 5-speed.

My brother was into modding these little 4 bangers way back in 92,before all the riced out jap stuff..!!!...was the second person to swap in the lotus designed DOHC turbo III motor from the daytona\spirit R\T.s...ran a mid 11 sec quarter mile, before an unfortunate trailering accident ended the cars life...he was fine..

TONS of parts available for these cars now...

Mine has eibach springs,koni adj struts,KYB shocks,Tubonetics Super60 turbo w/.63 housing,rad\intercooler from a Daytona,adj fuel press reg,turbonetics stg 3 clutch,short throw shifter,3"" exhaust-turbo back,walbro 255 fuel pump,ported intake,exhaust manifold...etc..

Motor, valvetrain is all stock with 170,00 km on it..!!!....It will handle 24 psi(**** that feels awesome.!!)...all day at the track...best run so far is a 13.1...not bad for a SOHC 4cyl motor...

Heres the shadow:

Cool..
Thanx man. I've been working on it, and have a few things done. It's not near as clean looking as your Shadow, and it's an auto.. :p
But I'm gonna try to mod it out a bit anyway. Loose the log intake for the turboII, and go with a bigger (intercooled) turbo.. I'm also looking to do a cam swap, and go roller. I like the comp cam, but I think it's the same as the super 60.

I did join the turbo-mopar forums, and have got some good advice from there so far.
I might post some pics of the GTS after I finish the body work..
