First let me say hi. It's either a 92 or a 94 Moto 4 (depending on which site I go to with the VIN) with a 350. Just got it a couple weeks ago, first wheeler ever!

So I got some mud on the thing just out driving around. Got home and used a regular garden hose on it, covered up the fuel filler hose and the exhaust, just gave it a 3 minute rinse down. Left it uncovered to dry, then it rained for maybe an hour not very hard. Few hours later I go to start it and nothing with the electric start, maybe a single click.

Pull starter and it seems to be running fine.

I'm assuming the water killed something. I'm not that mechanical, but I do have the Clymer service manual. It's not helping, and I don't want to take the whole thing apart if it's something simple.

First, welcome to the forum. Second, best to post this in the engine section. Third, this bike may be slightly different from the warrior's electrical system, but doing a search for your specific problem will yeild good results. This no start with the elec starter is fairly commom on these bikes. We here have been trying to encourage new members to use the search function, to keep the clutter and multiple threads of the same problem to a minimum. Matter of fact, we just added a "self help" thread in the engine section that is right up your alley. It's been stickied, and is at the top of the page. If you are still having issues, then please, let us know and we will be glad to help. Btw, post some pics of the ole girl.

try tightening battery cables/starter wire. One may be loose from first ride in a while... next try jumpimg across the selenoid! If it jumps the selenoid with a screwdriver and starts replace seleniod.
Selenoid is located on the rear left fender well i believe. It is round with two screws on top if you were wondering.
I may be wrong but this is how I was tought to begin a no start troubleshoot. Then move on to your start button connector. If none of that fixes your problem, post a reply letting us know your progress! Welcome to the forum!

Check the battery cables, you may need a new starter solenoid. It doesn't hurt to coat all your electrical connections in dielectric grease either

Thar she is in all her glory.

The solenoid was already bypassed with another push button on the side. The button is just under the fuel hose in the pic. I have a friend coming to check it out tomorrow. I'll post any results and/or pics. Thanks! And I'll check that sticky.

Heck man, that start button that was added on, may not have been done properly. Sounds more like you have moisture in a connection somewhere. I'd just go over everything with a fine tooth comb.

Will have a chance to go over it in the morning with a buddy.

My friend and amateur mechanic pulled the ghetto switch and we went to Autozone and got a new one. Started up in one second after a very quick change out. He put some silicone grease on the connections and it has a rubber protector around the outside. Works perfect now.

No problems with any wires or anything major, thank fck.

Yes GenPat, it was that damn button.

We also cleaned the air filter, tightened up a few loose wires, and adjusted the brakes to be tighter. It's running awesome!
