Motor running full throttle

In need of help diagnosing the problem I'm having with my 2001 warrior. Was riding the other day and mid way through the ride I let off the throttle and the quad ran out full throttle so I checked the carb and it's operating completely normal has any one else had a problem or what else can I check

Maybe a large air leak that is causing it to run really lean. Pull the plug out and tell us what color it is. Also look for tears in the carb boot

if your throttle cable isnt in a bind then its lean. take the black cover off of the left side of carb and make sure you have full motion of the carb and the arm in there goes all the way down to the idle adj screw at the bottom

Had the same problem, ended up being the slide was getting stuck at the peak. I just put wd40 on the slide and let it dry (newb move I know) and did the same to throttle cable. Works fine now.
