Yep been there done that. I work at a tire shop and had to do it to tractor tires. Without boss looking lol
 
The problem with that trick is if you put to much, like deadlast siad a tire will be destroyed. Around here if places dont have an air hog ( portable air tank with a massive dump valve) Ive seen this used.
 
We have a homemade 'air hog' at our shop that we use on tractor-trailer tires.
 
We have Cheetahs to but they dont always work 100% when you have cold wheels. The way to do it correct is to take out the core so you dont over inflate and pop it
 
tie shop I got my rears from spent over an hour trying to mount my tires then used something from the truck shop that they use for semi tires to get the bead to seat but I can't remember what it was
