Need head pipe advice...ThanX

My bike has the stock head pipe and hmf rear exhaust. The stock head pipe looks bad and is rattling at the donut....whats a good front match for the HMF rear?...If I get stainless steel will it stay chrome or turn like the stock pipe? Thankx All

I've got a stainless Yoshi pipe with the stainless header and its a great lookin' peice. You could also check out the FMF powerbomb header, I've heard good things about it. Any stainless header will turn colour to a brass-looking finish.

Thanks Bro...Nice lookn Quad!!! How long had that pipe been on there{ballpark run hours} at the time of the pic...I just dont want it to turn rust color like the stock pipe on mine.

the color on your pipe is burnt on dirt/rust due to being a steel head pipe, the stainless pipe will only change colors due to the heating of the metal, ie blue orange/yellow if you get it hot enough, until it finally reaches a certain point where it remains one color.

I'd say mine has been on there for almost 2 years now. Can't count how many rides. It stays the colour it is, I just remove it and polish it twice a year to keep it shiney looking.
