Hey guys,
Just got my warrior last week and rode a time or two, and took alittle trip to see just how it done on a 20+ mile ride. Anyway all seamed fine except when I would go to give more throttle in top gear, it acted like it was starving for fuel until I layed into the throttle it straightened out and took off.

Now I started on cleaning the nasty K&N filter and removed the spark plug out and it didn't look to bad but then again didn't look to good either. I checked the gap and it was set on 38, ain't the gap supposed to be on 24-28? While that's what I did before cleaning threads with a brass bristle brush and electrode also applied some anti-sieze on the threads before gapping the plug on 26. After the filter dryied over night I applied the K&N oil and again letting it dry for several hours.

On to by questioned, after putting everything back together I fired it up and just didn't seam right, so I adjusted the idle screw up just alittle and perfect! Now took it down the road and didn't rev crazy in 1st gear but it started acting like a rev limter or running out of gas? Layed into it like I did on the long trip and thought it would sped up but no way, that was it! In every gear it acted like that?

Now that is the only 2 things I've done, WAIT! forgot to say that before the ride I reved it several times and it had a backfire? (is it running lean?) My thinking is that since the filter is clean and it's getting plenty of fresh air and the plug is cleaned and gaped correct, is it that the engine is running out of fuel???

Need your guys help quick my kids are wanting to go ride after they get home from school, and not to mention I would like to go take a good ride myself! and get it running in top shape before I but any money in it. Thanks guys...Daniel

The rev limiter feel is the main jet plugged. Also sounds like your first issue was a jetting issue either to rich or lean but without seeing the plug we can't tell
