Well the cam and spring I won came today. I think for shits and giggles Im gonna try the cam. For those not reading my rebuild thread its a Megacycle 252x1 . Now I really need to decide what to do piston wise. Thought I had a plan, but as usual I start second guess and re-thinking things. Ive found a few jugs on ebay that come Wiseco pistons in a .020 over that just need a hone and new rings on the cheap or I can bore my jug and go a little bigger. HELP me decide what to do!!!!

I say get just a used jug, bore it to a 366 and call it done. Then you'd still have ur stock jug and piston.

Haven't been keeping up on your thread, but is your old cylinder out of spec? Have heavy scoring? Heavy ridging near the top of the bore? Out of round? If not you can hone it yourself and install a higher compression piston. You can get new 10.25to1 wiseco's off ebay for $100-$110. $130-$140 w/gaskets. You could go even cheaper and reuse your old pison if it's in good shape, just install new rings. I don't care to do it personally, but it is an option. There are also a few sellers on ebay that have wiseco pistons and fresh bored&honed cylinders to match as a package.

I wanna go that big, Im just not sure I can pull it off for sure. You know the kind of coin Ive spent on pieces this spring!!!
My tbird motor is gonna be pricy enough!! So Im trying to go kind of budget for now. I wish someone had an extra 366 piston floating around that I could pick up, that would be perfect but I know that isnt gonna happen.

Its really the down time Im trying to avoid. I know all about the pistons as my old warrior had a stock bore Wiseco in it that I installed. Im going build wise for power. Im so far from stock everywhere, but the motor that the motor needs to match!! LOL:evilface:

have a used jug if ya need one coming of a 87 i think, i m looking up years with dual throttle cable carbs let me know

I hear ya. Sucks having the Tim Taylor syndrome. More power!!! Look into cycleworksracing.net/atv's.html this guy has lots of kits for lots of older and old ball bikes. Was actually reccomended to me by my friend who builds race atvs. Anyway, he has a 400cc big bore kit as well as several other options avail for the warrior. Very well priced, very good craftsmanship. You can atleast see what he has and plan for it later. My friend does all my machine work for me and builds hard core race bikes, so if he says something is a good product I don't ask questions, I just know it's the real deal.

Ill keep that in mind. I actually have another jug here that was supposed to be .040, but I check with a telescoping gauge and a micrometer and it siad it was bigger than 366. Im gonna double check it a better way and see what it comes out as. Hit me up with what you would want for the jug if you could.

Ive looked at those kits before and talked to them. At this point and time Im not really interested in something like that.

Ya have me interested '98. I'm tryin to get my crap together too, man. I have my piston but need to bore the cylinder. I ordered new valves y'day. Hopefully the timing chain I bought from TT Will get here sometime. I've been up in the air on porting but I think I may have my boy Lloyd Elliot do it for me, I know he'll do a good job for me.

366 all the way! a bore job will cost $50 ish just do your current cylinder and get another one when you need it

get a wiseco next size up and a stock wrist pin and no jug gasket bang for your buck thats were its at right there and if the je is any lighter it would probably cause a vibration anyways

just my .02

Ok key me in to where you guys are finding these. Other than JE's site the only other place that I know of to look is ebay.
