I got this quad a few days ago and resolved a few issues now I have a new one. Yesterday I cleaned the K&N and reoiled it, reinstalled and test drove it. Working great. Go for a ride today and after 5 min it bogs down and will only idle. I let it idle for 30 sec and all is good. I decided to keep going and rode for an hour with no issues and then it did it again. Same thing, give it 30 sec at idle and all is good. It did this 3 more times on the way home. It also seems like it was backfiring more but I may just notice it more now because I am listening for a problem. thank you

Did you over oil the filter? Have you changed the spark plug? Did you ever clean the carb? Could the that there is debris in the float bowl, and it gets stirred up and causes a bog. When you let it sit and idle (or shut if off) the debris settles to the bottom of the bowl and you get some more ride time out of it before it acts up again.

I took the carb off and cleaned it. There was one little chunk floating around so I hope that was the problem. I replaced the plug and noticed it was running a little lean. It had stock jets and I am 40 miles from town so I opened the main jet a couple thousandths. I will buy the correct jets on Monday. I also did the accelerator pump mods. It seems to run about the same but I will take a longer ride tomorrow. Thank you

If you dont already have one run to autozone and grab a small inline filter. I had alot of carb issues before and once filter was installed my jets have stayed debris free.
