hey everyone. i just got some new bars today and finally put my thumb throttle on that i got monday. i replaced my pro taper se bars (7/8") with a set of pro taper contour oversize bars and universal clamps. these things are bitchin. only problem is the bar pad is a bitch to get on and it isnt fitting just right yet. also relocated the neutral and reverse lights to the sides of the hood. ill get pics of that soon after i get the pad to fit right. anyway, i did some polishing on the thumb throttle to make it look a little better, put some new renthal atv grips on, and im going to use my old bars on my girlfriend's 300ex to replace those shitty stock bars.

check it out. after i do some riding on them, ill write a review on the bars/clamps. also, my new clutch perch/lever and moose block-off plate come in monday, so ill post pics of those too when i get them on. later.

yeah it feels pretty comfortable so far. its kinda weird with the thumb throttle since i started on the twist. it took me a couple of hours to do it (even though it probably should have taken less time) but i did the throttle change over as well and took my sweet-ass time to make sure i did everthing right. used loctite on the clamp bolts and everthing. so, how did you get your bar pad to fit? did you have trouble getting the cover to velcro on? im having difficulty with mine, but im eventually going to get rid of the black one (maybe keep it as a spare) and put a blue one on it. maybe ill have better luck with that one.
