Wow, that was one clean 1st gen. What happend?

Welcome to the site, enjoy!

that was 1 mint 1st gen! welcome. theres a guy down the road form me that has a 1st gen with the same color scheme.

Thanks. Yeah it was in nice shape. Stupid mistake on my part. It sat for a while and the float must have been hung up. Tried cranking and cranking it and at the same time it was pumping gas into the air box. Took the air box cover off, removed the filter and like a ******* tried starting it again. One backfire is all it took, instant fire. Unfortunately I didn't have something handy to put it out quick enough. Like I said stupid.
Well it's back together so I'll post some pics soon. Hopefully I can get it running. Thanks

That happend to me at the shop on a customers unit, I unloaded it and tried to start it and went up in flames burnt the air box seat rear fender if we wouldnt have had an extinguisher it would have burnt to the ground. You are lucky. Good to know you are ok. That **** is scary.

Thanks all. Nice 87.....
Mine looks similar now. All red plastic, seat and frame with some black accents. I'll take some new pics this weekend.
