yeh, i'm pretty cautious going around branches and what not, and if you can believe it (hillclimbingrecon) i only payed $152, thats with the shipping and tax its retail is $139. thnx for the coments

its not carbon fiber but not plastic, dunno what material it is...

i didnt care about mine.....i bought it and it was going to get scratched anyway, so.....good luck with yours

helmets are made to get scratched up lol, rather scratch it than my head or try or miss a little branch and hit a tree
