new stator, backfire through carb

Just put a new stator in my warrior and all it does is back fire through the carb... Everything is within spec... Bike was running good when the stator died...


Only thing I have is took out the +2 timing key and put a stock one back in it..

Got it... Pickup coil wires on the new stator were backward...

Saw this thread my bike has been backfiring through the carb pretty bad when I try to start it up and is really bad on cold starts think it could be my pickup coil???
