Hello all,
Just bought my first ride this week end; a 96 YFM 350 Warrior for a grand...
The bike is in good shape, plastics are good shape too...
... The suspension is great, (don't know what the set up is yet... The PO did not know either...)
But have some issues with the engine... Nothing I can't tackle...

One thing I really need, is a link to a PDF Warrior service manual

The main issues are:
Needs a top end, as she smokes more than a 2 stroke...lol...
So I saw a Namura +.040" piston kit on e-bay for about 80$... Including top end gaskets... Anyone with feedback on this?

The clutch is TOTALLY fried... even slips in first...
Saw an EBC kit with steel plates, cork plates, and springs for about 80$ also...

I might take the whole engine out to refresh all the internals; bearings, & seals, but only after fall... Have to ride this summer...lol...

I also saw a pull start cover on e-bay, and I would like that, if the battery dies out in the middle of nowhere... That way, I have two ways of starting the ATV....
Anyone know, if I can keep the electric starter, and add that cover?

Is this a bolt on ?

Like I said, this is my first experience with ATV's , but I had my share of mechanic experience, rebuilding GSXR's street bikes...

I had to get into ATV's, as my 7 year old has his (got him a 50 mini last year...), and couldn't stand around just watching him anymore!!!

Pics to follow, as soon as I go get my ride back home (Its up north at my brothers place right now...)
Here's a pic of my son's ride:

Hey welcome to the site, I try to answer all the questions.
Don't go with the namura piston, it's a stock style piston and is still cast, and uses the stock compression, for a few dollors more you could get a Weisco 10.25 compression forged piston, this will give it a bit more power.
The EBC clutch OK just get the HD springs.
The pull starter is a nice option, but even with the decompression lever it will rip your arm off trying to pull start this thing. The decompression lever is in the exhaust rocker cover and is hard to find somtimes. The pull start is a bolt on but you also need the starter drum.

you got a great deal and youl have alot of fun working on and riding your new toy with your son, namura is a good piston, wiesco is a also a good high performance piston for $90 and it bumps compression up a little, ebc is a good clutch I have one on my hop up 380cc warrior and I added one extra steel plate from my old clutch to give it even more spring pressure, if its smoking you must be getting dirt from your intake somewhere get a good oiled foam filter like unifilter, and use a air box lid and check for leaks so dirt dont wearout your new piston and rings,
