As the title goes, I have an oil leak... As to where its coming from? Near where some of the bolts go that hold the engine together. I've tightened them up (Some were loose) but still nothing. Ideas? Suggestions? The plug is fine and there's no leaks from there.. Maybe a seam that leaks? If so, would this be a JB weld fix? Any help is appreciated.

these old motors always seep oil,l if its really leaking like dripping theres a lucas oil treatment that might help, or you will need to replace the gasket, i personally wouldent use jb

How hard is it to get to the gasket? Is it just unscrewing the right side of the quad's guts after draining the oil?

It looks like off to the side where theres some factory seams, as well as below where the bolts fasten. I've tightened some of them down.. Real tempted to stand the quad up and go through the bottom of it with a fine-tooth comb..

my drain plug o-ring is bad and leaks a little and always runs over to the clutch cover and drips off the bottom of clutch cover just something to check first

if its in the back of case then it's probably the center gasket by one of the 2 rear motor mounts my 01 leaks at the bottom rear motor mount a tiny bit

If it is the center case that is leaking you can "bandaid" it. Drain the oil and CLEAN the **** out of the seam with brake clean, rags and compressed air. Make sure it is DRY. Tilt the bike on it's side if you have to. Doing that will move any left over oil from sitting on the seam so it wont seep through. Get a product called seal all, or you can use black rtv. Apply it and let it dry good. You can get the seal all from advanced auto parts, I've had lots of luck with it.
