What do you guys do with these? Mine doesnt look to be in too bad of shape. If it were the single cable I would just rebuild it and go on with my life. But this two cable thing has me thinking twice. The cables are in rough shape and the only replacements I find cost 5 times what the single cable costs.

Nothing wrong with them. Just rebuild and keep on going. If it needs new cables, that's a different story. Can get a good used, or new larger carb, for the same price.

I bought a 2001 warrior that has this dual cable setup. Is it not original to the bike? When did yamaha use these? Bike has been pieced together. Suzuki thumb throttle. Shorty clutch lever(impossible to pull).

I'm also curious as to when these were used, because IIRC I read that a '90 uses a dual cable, but I haven't actually looked to see whether mine does or not.

Finally found on a search that someone said 92 was the last year for them so I guess mine is not original.

Does your engine vin match the frame? Weird that that's the only thing they changed

Nothing wrong with the dual IMO just more money for cables. My 91 has it and the 97 I had someone put a dual style on it with pull start. I just soak cable in pb blaster and they function very smooth

K I will just run it as is then. U r right I need to check vin and engine code. Haven't started pullin quad apart til I get accel pump in mail and carb is ready to go on so I can see what else she needs to run. Will prob just flip this one, my 97 has been good to me so far.
