Aside from this listing, the only way to get a quad like this is to build it yourself! As much as I want to keep it, I can't justify having a machine like this sitting idle - it begs to be ridden. Light, nimble, quick, and 4 wheel drive on top of it. It's no slouch either as it's carried my 6'4" 220lb carcus up and over many 12 and 13,000 ft mountains in Colorado. Take a look at the list of components and then add them up yourself to realize what this thing cost to build. It's in fantastic shape (just look at the photos below) and I'd take it back to Colorado in a heartbeat as it needs nothing but a rider. It's ready for your test ride.
Since going thru the rearend, rear swing arm, and bumping her up to a 446 with the taller 4th and 5th gears, she's not got but 100 miles on her - I got it done and a month later moved to Connecticut - where there is NO place to ride that's not 2.5+ hours away.
This machine has HISTORY - As in 1995, Mike Penland wanted to race Four Wheel Drive GNCC races - so he contacted Mickey Dunlap of Four Stroke Tech and asked him to build him a machine to win with. It had lots of goodies and was bored and stroked to be a 435cc machine. An article was written in Dirt Wheels featuring it after it won. A guy in Ann Arbor, MI read the article and called up Mickey Dunlap and asked him to build a 2nd one JUST LIKE MIKE's. Mickey did so, and $9,310 later, this machine was ready to move to Michigan. I even have the original Sales receipt from Four Stroke Tech.
Since then, I've updated lots, made custom parts, and made her my own Trail Carving Beast.
