Went to ride yesterday and noticed one of the left peg bolts pulled out of it's threads. So, up to the shop I went. Drilled and tapped to m12 1.75 pitch. Then figured, why not make my pegs wider? So, used pegs off an old moto4 200 I have. Then decided to ditch my old steel nerfs, and make my own heal guards/supports. 2 coats of rustolium selfetching primer and rustolium red gloss, and this is what I got.

Cool i see em now. I think it would be nice to put some sheet metal on the flat part to keep ur heel from rolling on the bar. Nice tho. Im gunna have something made for mine as well.

very nice man I need to widen my pegs when I jump it kills my feet on landing awesome work man

Thanks. I owned the 200 for nothing, so a little welding and 30 bucks at lowes and whalla! I haven't gotten to ride it with em other than riding to my buds house. But, that short trip sure did feel good. Also, how do I get pics to stay up after I delete them from my uploaded attachments? I'm not too computer savy.

Hauler, do you still have the pegs from your 92? If so you should be able to bolt them to the pegs on your 02. If you were to cut the mounting bracket off the peg itself, then put the right peg on the left side and the left peg on the right, the heal guard mounting holes should line up, and you'd be able to sandwich the heal guard between the 2 pegs and bolt them all together.

Cool cool. I'd drill and put a nut and bolt on the heal tabs as apposed to the ring clamps, I bet those get stripped and break in no time.

Well, I only used the hose clamp because I may get new aluminum nerfs with heal guards, so I'd rather not weld to the frame if I don't have to. Doesn't bother me to do so, just don't wanna unless I have to. I may pull em off and make that mounting tab into a "T" and put 2 clamps on it. But, I weigh 180 and have stood on them without them giving at all. Matter of fact, they are so rigid I can grab the outside bar and jerk with all my might and I started to rock the wheels of the ground, lol. And I made them by eye. Only used a tape to get my spacing perfect. Actually I had tacked the bars on and measured and I was only off by 1/16th! Who needs an optomotrist? Haha

Whats worse, my dumbass was at lowes lastnight and I didn't eventhink to get 2 U bolts and nuts. That would work great.
