The best place I've found is vito's. .. **** I just checked there again and it looks like they quit selling the oversized one and just the standard size high flow KW valves. There is only a 1mm oversized intake valve and standard size exhaust from places I've found.
You have to have the head machined for the oversized valve and also should have the seats re grinded so they seal.

so they make standard sizes that are high flow..which will do the sale thing as over sized. Let more fuel in..

Yeah.. Basically let more air in and out. The effects of these HF valves are basically not real great but when your trying to eek out every last CFM out of the head they'll help.

400 dollars to have duncan racing port/flow, SERDI valve job, install the new guides, valves, springs, seals and machine the head for the bigger valve. Also work over the combustion chamber.

Mickey told me it wouldn't be worth it , he said the Warriors combustion chamber kinda shrouds the oversize valve negating any gain you would get. He also said extensive reworking of the port is required on the short side. Basically he said a good port and flow job which being cheaper would result in just as good a gain. Remember the Warrior intake valve measures 40mm, the over size is 41mm, 1mm is .020 I don't see 1mm giving that much of a flow advantage anyway.

If the difference is so small dave then why does mickey have to do extensive reworking for the oversized valve to work?
No effense but I am glad I didn't have any work done with him.

Loren said it is worth it. He said with there porting software they use to port map the head and data they get from the flow bench they see a big increase in CFM with the bigger valve at very low lifts as the valve is just starting to lift from the seat, with there valve job and at higher lifts it really aids in flow. He told me that if I was looking to get the best performance out of the head this is how it's done. He wasn't trying to sell me anything either because I had already bought the valves. He said also that the bigger valve is worth it on the intake but the kibblewhite HF exhaust valve does very little as the stock one is very durable and still flows great.
I should say that to DR does not charge anymore for the oversize valve to be installed when having the porting work done through them and they do also work over the combustion chamber. I guess it's all about how much money you want to spend because I think FST can do it for much cheaper.

Trust me I wanted and asked him about the bigger valve and he turned me away from it, and you know I wasn't trying to save any money after waht the 446 kit costed anyway. It kinda burns me up a little now since this motor has a way higher need for air then a stock stroke motor dose. Now figure I spent $175 on porting, $90 for new valves he said I needed, and probablt another $100 for machine work, $400 ain't sound too outta site.

Dave that's what I don't understand.. you have a much bigger motor and with the bigger valve it would aid you more then it would me. I was really suprised to see you post and have him actually say that because I was getting a different story from DR. Interesting to say the least.
Really for the amount of machining they did to the head it's not as bad as it sounds. But that is just my opinion.. Other places wanted more that had a SERI machine. Still is alot of money to spend though.
