OK I have painted my hubs black and the rims are gold and was wondering what colour should I paint the lug nuts? Either Gloss Black or Gold? The bad thing is, if I were to paint them gold how do I keep the threads from getting painted because its a spray can.

Id paint them black, but how are you gonna paint the threads, just pop the nuts off there and paint them, guarenteed as soon as your torque them a little its gonna take the paint right off though.

well if you spray paint the threads some paint may get in but yes when I torque them some may come off. But I have a Tap and Die Set as well.

Yea paint them black to match the rims

If you ask me there's no point in painting the lug nuts. As soon as you put a lug wrench on them it will start coming off.

I'd just let them alone, it'll end up looking worse than it already is when the paint chips off of them.

I think someone sells black lug nuts, try Dennis Kirk or Rocky Mountain

if you want to be cheap and go the easy way out, paint em but make sure you clear coat it so it stays the color you painted it

clear coat won't keep paint from chipping off when it gets torqued down

well hear me, I painted mine gloss black and when I torqued them to 32 ft.lbs no paint came off!

no I used my gloss black paint with a paint brush.
