Haha, I haven't heard it yet and i'm damn sure not going to sit here for half an hour waiting for that to load on dialup to confirm my suspicion, that it sucks.

Every time I hear her, I just shake my head and start wondering a few things. How did she ever get this far, how does this pass for music, does anybody else realize she's a horrible singer and a poor perfomer, and where did ol' Billy Ray go wrong? She's making an unimaginable amount of money, and is one of today's most famous music "performers"(i'm using that word loosely), while having absolutely no real talent or skills. She's just a puppet for the songwriters and producers and people are just eating this **** up. Her father had 100 times the talent and didn't get a fraction of the recognition that she did. He's more famous for his mullet than his ability to write and perform music.

Grrr... I hate pop music... saw Future Leaders of the World a couple weeks ago, KILL POP!

I couln't help myself, I just had to find out how bad it really is. I listened to the first minute of it.

DUDE, IT'S SO BAD!!!

THERE'S NO AMOUNT OF BOURBON THAT COULD MAKE ME THINK THAT IS GOOD, OR A CATCHY TUNE! It would take something much stronger (think rock cocaine) to even give me a thought about it being anything other than garbage. What's wrong with you?

Sorry man, but that's just horrible judgement on your part. Better luck next time.

HAHHAHAHAHAHHAH, I'd stick it to her! The song (coming form a musicly inclined ear and worldly music collector of sorts) is produced to be a freakin hit. I'm telling yah man. It might not be your preference of music, but the beats and composition of the music itself are well done. Hell, shes just doin what they tell her to do and making **** tons of money. Give her 3-5 yrs before she has a major drug problem and has the crazy story's to go with it but WTFC? (who the **** cares)

I'm going to disagree with your "musically inclined ear" and say it sounds like every other pop song of the last 30 years. I'm not biased to a specific type of music, I love music ranging from bluegrass to black metal. EVERY pop song has a catchy tune but poor musical talent and ****** lyrics that have no meaning. Every pop song is produced to be a hit. It's just a bunch of words strung together that rhyme like dr ******* suess, some people love that crap. Give it 10 years and nobody will know who miley cyrus is or what songs she sang. A true hit will be as well known and liked 25 years from now as it was when it first hit the radio. Very few pop songs have ever hit that mark, and the ones that did were from so-called legends like madonna and jacko.

Oh, and I regret to inform you that your man card has been revoked. YOINK!

Never ment a hit that way deff. not a hit that would stand the test of time. Marley stating that its a guaranteed hit for today's single mined teenie bopper of an audience. And who the **** was listenin to the lyrics. The "song" is well composed is all I'm getting at. Listen to this dude... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LoFurLevE28&feature=channel --self thought musical prodigy Ronald Jenkes. All his compositions are crazy good.

Yama, you ever listen to Cheap Trick, Supertramp, The Police, U2? All of which are bands That would never consider to be a personal favorite by any means, but all have a huge following, huge hit songs, and are all POP bands!

You say your not bias but you obviously are. I listen to everything..

and that's about 1/2 of my collection and then I have other countless numbers of CD's and thousands of downloaded song in my itunes library. Music is one of those things that you have to explore to truly enjoy and yes that does include ear ******* yourself with some really horrendous music sometimes but it then gives you a better frame of reference.

Also, music isn't something you can pull a man card over, its science! Now, If I was prancing around in a
Miley Cyrus shirt singing the song at the top of my lungs, then yes, that would be a man card pulling event.

Argh... all bands that I can't stand. Especially U2, one of the most irritating band i've ever heard, i think mostly because they play some of their **** on rock stations, which is WRONG. Out of those 4 bands, the only song I can think of that I like is Message in a Bottle, and I think Machine Head's cover of it is 20 times better than the original. Other people can argue that if they wish. I've been told many times that I have a strange taste in music. I'm a country boy, but i'm a metal head too. Pop just doesn't fit anywhere along the lines of what I enjoy and I never saw what the appeal was, maybe it's too uppity and happy, yuppie ****, reminds me of the teletubbies or something.

If that's your definition of a hit, then yeah, it's a guaranteed hit with the way music is going these days. It's just going to hit the top of the charts until they wear it out and everybody gets tired of it, and we'll never have to hear it again, thank god.

Music in general has been taking a bad turn lately. A lot of the bands that I used to be nuts about have completely turned commercialized and pussified. Even Atreyu and Killswitch, I never thought they would go mainstream. They used to be considered pretty heavy bands. Atreyu's last album sounded like pop to me, not hardly rock or metal at all. It seems like the best new bands are coming out of European countries like Finland, all the American stuff is starting to sound the same, the bands that are actually good never get credit for it. One of the best new bands i've seen lately is Veer Union, it's a shame that they only song they're getting played on radio is Seasons, because I felt like every other song that they played sounded a hell of a lot better. Their live performance is unique, but if I had to compare them to anything, i'd say it's Sevendust-ish.

I don't know if you're getting your man card back just yet, your original post seemed pretty excited about Miley Cyrus's next big hit...

Don't feel bad, I pulled a co-worker's man card last week for singing a Taylor Swift song at the top of his lungs with the windows down and the stereo cranked in the McNasty's drive thru. The worst part is that he knew every word of it, otherwise i might have let him off with a warning.

Just checked out Jenkees, that's pretty cool ****. I just listened to the one but that got added to my favorites, i'll definitely be checking out more of it when I have the time. It's definitely well composed. I'm not sure if I agree about Miley's song, I didn't listen to it long and it's youtube sound quality so maybe i'm just not seeing what you're seeing in it. Or maybe Miley's voice is so bad and the lyrics so poorly written that it ruins the whole thing. (i'm leaning towards the last one)

Now were starting to agree. U2 sucks major dick. Bono can take a boner. And YES! Early atreyu was tits magee! New stuff, not so good.

wow! i can't belive i just read this thread!!! you all are GAY!!!!!
