Yesterday my brother and I installed an HMF on my Raptor 350. Left the stock main in place, dropped the clip to position 4, didn't touch the airbox. Mixture screw is 3 turns out. I noticed it studders and pops in the 1/8 to half throttle range. I was searching the forum and found that the pilot jets may need bumped up a little to stop the miss in the 1/8 to half range. Adjusting the screw did nothing. Idle and 50% to full throttle seem fine. Would the larger pilots help this problem?

That would be your needle position affecting that. It sounds like its to rich. move back to the stock position. Pilot affects Idle. Needle is 1/8 or 1/4 to 3/4 throttle and main is 3/4 to full throttle.

We moved the clip to position 4. I'm using the stock airfilter and box. I ordered some Mikuni jets. Will probably go one up on the main, but it ran really well above half throttle with the stock jet.

your to rich on your needle position. Main jet only affects 3/4 to full thottle.
