What do i need to buy to be able to play my ps2 games online? Most of the games i have can be played online but im not sure what i need. Also is there a monthly fee to play the games online? Thanks.

You need the internet adaptor and some for of connection.... without DSL its going to be pretty crappy. and yes its free

well most of my games say broadband and dial up. do you think it will still suck even if its compatible with dial up?

I play some online games on my computer with dialup, and it will depend a lot on how good your phone lines in your area are. I'm the last house on a string of copper phone lines that was run up here in the 60's, so my connection isn't great. It'll play fine normally, but it'll hit flat spots where it'll freeze for a second or even drop completely.

If you are in a location that was recently developed, or close to a denser populated area you have a better chance of getting a good connection. With a good dialup connection, any of the games that are supposed to work with dialup should play smoothly.

If you want to try it out before you buy a dialup adapter for the ps2, try playing an online game like tribes on your computer (cool older game, free download). If that runs ok without freezing and stuff, you should be fine with a dialup adapter on the ps2.

well i use to play a game called runescape {duno if anyones heard of it} but it loaded really slow at first but after a week or so it would load instantly and not stall or freeze. i'll try it out if it doesnt work well i'll just take the adaptor back for my money.

runescape isnt as fast gameplay or high graphic as ps2 would be, with dial up and ps2 youll lag like crazy and will get bumped a ton, plus ps2 does not have very good online play compared to xbox, im telling you this from experience, there are not many people on ps2 servers.

I play offroad fury 3 and mx vs atv unleashed online when I get the spare time. chad is right about playing ps2 online there isn't many people on. But I can't compare it to xbox because I haven't played it online. There are more people online for atv offroad fury 3 then there is mx vs atv unleashed and I like mx vs atv more..
