I have a 97 warrior and i have been haveing tranny problems i tore it apart and the shift bar was bent which cause the top shift fork to be grinded on by the gear. So i replaced the shift bar and fork and rode for less then a week and i didnt ride all that hard. I was playing in the snow and i was once again in third gear and my tires were spinning and it started popping like it did the first time so i took it home and tore it apart again but i dont know what to look at or what to replace to fix the problem. Once person suggested maybe its the bearings but another person said that if it was the bearings that it would make a lot of noise. And i had notice a little bit of noise but i thought that it was comeing from the chain but i tore it apart before i tried to fix that. BIG MISTAKE. But i dont know what to do and we have been getting a lot of snow and im dieing to go ride so somebody please please help me. Any suggestions are very well aprecciated!!!!

Someone had metioned to me that mabey the dogs were worn down. What are the dogs??

how would the shift fork cause the shift bar to bend? and i have replaced the number 3 shift fork and the one bar already. I just looked at the gear dogs and to me they dont look worn.

i took a pic of the dogs in the tranny but im haveing problems with the top shift fork and the dogs on that one look fine it is the ones on the botom that i think look worn
this is the gear thaat the dogs go into they have a little wear in the edges of the holes.

sorry for the bad pics was haveing trouble

do you think that they need to be replaced or not do you think that this could be the problem?

well i went over the whole tranny again today and after looking at the other dogss i have dicided that this has to be the problem its the only thing that is showing any wear at all so im gonna have to replace both the dog and where it goes in at and the shift fork and bar and pray this fixes it unless you guys have any other ideas

well i just go the parts i need off of ebay the are used but i spent about 100 dollars on parts that would have cost about 200 for new so i think i saved a little bit and i bought it from a shop so i should be safe
