87-88 are sort of like the 1st gen Warriors if you will. 89-up are are all the same, but the front suspension and maybe a few other odds and ends are different. it's possible that you could of ordered newer parts for your older bike, but also could be possible that those are blaster arms, don't quote me on that though.

im sure someone else could help you more than i so i'll yet whovever else chime in and hopefully we can guide you in the right direction.

thanks, i hope we can get this figured out.. yamaha dealer here wants 400 bucks just for the lower arm itself, htats more than what i payed for the quad.

wow, $400. i know you may not have paid very much for the quad, but i would consider looking into some ASR or Full Flight a-arms, if they make 'em for the 87-88, before i would spend that much on stock arms. you can get a whole new set for about 300-400 bucks and thats uppers and lowers and if its a kit they will come with new tie rods and brake lines.

you just have to decide if the quad's worth it though.

87 88 warriors have different a arms if someone siad that it fit all years they dont know anything. get a few measurements off of both and i will compare them to the measurements on mine. i have a 98, ill almost bet they are off of a newer one

i measured the length of one tube to the ball joint on the ones i ordered, roughly 13 inches, even where the arm bolts to the frame is more narrow and the metal caps are smaller

mine on the quad or roughly 14 inches long..

it was my 1st time back out after putting in a new piston rings and gaskets. i ran about 2 hours with no smoke Yah! and then the front balljoint broke.. :( my chain kept jumping off too, i used the tensioner and tightned it but somehow is got oose again and started jumping offsomething else must be movin alil bit... i just wanna ride again damnit!

what about where it mounts to the frame, whats the measurement from outside to outside?

looks like roughly 11 inches on the ones i ordered but its missing those metal caps..

the stuff that wont fit yours put up in the classifieds section here someone might need the parts, that way you can recoop atleast some of the money

problem with that is i still dont know exactly what it fits..
