Well I just finished with the dreaded countershaft seal repair. It was quite a bugger trying to get the old one out that didnt appear to have anything wrong with it so Im pretty sure that wasnt the cause of my oil leak. When I went to unscrew the nut holding on the sprocket, the only thing holding it one was the lock washer. Could taken it off with my fingers.
Anyways besides the point. When I put the new seal in I pushed it in as far as I could with my fingers but one side went further then the other so i got a screw driver any tapped the other side down to match it. You can tell its alot deeper then the previous seal. Was wondering if that is going to hurt anything. Its too late now anyways because everything is all bolted back up but i was just wondering.
