Hey guys I have an 87 yamaha warrior I just modded the lid to the air box and I'm getting the motor rebuilt seeing as I twisted the output shaft in half! Oops....
But anyway I was wondering if I should put on a pod filter or buy the K&N

Both work well. Depends on what your gonna do. For muddy and wet areas you want to keep the air box, but for dry and dusty areas you want a straight pod filter.

or a k&n with outerwares or like I been using for the last year no box, huge K&N with woman's black knee high nylon stocking pulled over it only cost's $1 for a 4 pack and they work just as good if not better than the expensive outerwares
and I ride water, mud, sand, dirt, dust and snow with no issues just change out the stockings every now and then and the K&N always stays clean

Thanks guys :) I think I'm gonna go with the k&n they have a lifetime warranty lol and for pegs also you can buy the pegs for a suzuki ltr 450 my neighbor has one and has an extra peg that bolts straight on to my 87 warrior they are huge lol

You got a pic of the LTR450 pegs on yours? I know many members have YFZ and Raptor pegs on theirs. Im curious to see how the LTR's look. I got a set of Rath's from a YFZ but I didn't know the LTR's would work that's some good info!!

Im running a UNI Pod Filter and works great. I cut up the stock airbox to act as a splash sheild but it could cover more but im in the process of doing that.

THORrider05 your thing says you have a stage one hot cam do you like it or would you go with the stage two?

The stage1 is alot better than stock. I would prefer the stage2 just cause my style of riding. The stage2's are hard to find at a decent price thats why i went with the stage1. Im happy with it and will only change it if i do a full rebuild to a stroker.

@Dballard87 Get a web or mega dont waste your money on hot cams if you want a real cam.. Hot cams dont even compare..

The stage1 is a good cam, if its what you can afford and can find then id say run it. I grew up riding and racing 80's and 125's so i ride my warrior the same way as those. Would i be happier with a cam that is more mid to top-end, yes. Was i gonna keep the stock cam instead of getting more power from the stage1 cam untill i found another cam for a decent price, no. Am i happy with my decision, absolutely yes. My best word of advice is do research on what you want done and take into factor of how your gonna ride then go from there on what to buy.
