you just go to harbor freight (tool store) and get a few buffing wheels, a polish brick, and some good buffing compuound, and just go at it whiping off the black residue evrey once and a while
i didnt polish the bottom of it, but you can see the top of the plate towards the front. maybe about 8-12 inches of it between the frame and you can see about 2 inches all the way around the motor. of course it isnt something that stands out, but a little thing here, a little thing there adds up and makes the overall bike look better.
i'm in the middle of stripping all the paint off my second motor. after that, i'm going to polish all the aluminum covers. depending on how that goes, i would be willing to polish anyones parts for a minimul fee. since i have two motors, i could send you a part that is already polished in exchange for one that isnt. that way turnaround would be much quicker so the downtime of your quad would be kept to a minimum.
