Hi, has anyone here ever had issues with Procom cdi's causing kickback cause of advanced timing. I checked my timing according to manual and it looks like its correct. when I turn the engine over it will just keep cranking but wont start. when I choke the engine it will turn over but then kick back terrible. I beleive this took out my one-way bearing so I had to replace it. The engine has spark, compression, getting gas but appears like timing is still off? I bought this warrior not running and stuck way too much $ into it and its still not running. Anyway just curious if this is a problem with procoms. thanks.

not yet, but will try tommorrow. Tried another cdi and its not that cause it still kicksback when engine is choked. checked timing, pulled valve covers off and checked clearance, cleaned carb and adjusted fuel/air screw two turns out. everything looks good to me but I'm no expert so guess i will have someone else take look at it.

What do you mean by kickback? Your gapping and timing is in spec no that you checked and set it?
