So I'm about to put my motor in my new frame and I came across the idea of covering the top Motor mounts in jb weld (for metal) something like a perfect mold. I think it's a good idea since we all know the top motor mounts are not that solid . I figured a layer of jb weld will help with that. What y'all think??

it will most likely chip off over time with the vibrations from the motor

Hmmm didn't think of that . Any ideas on making the mounts stronger?? I can be the test piglet .

most weld washers on to strengthen the mount point
I'm having Weston do it to my boys mounts cause 1 broke and the other is half cracked

So just weld a 1 thick washer right over the hole??

something like that
I'm sure someone that has done it can fill ya in on how to do it

yeah its that easy ^^ .. im making new upper mount out 3/8th thick billet aluminum

Lol mine broke right off both sides so I had the welder at my dads work weld em up! (They are thicker than stock now) Still holdin up! :)

I made new ones out of 10 ga sheet metal. Just copied originals onto thicker metal. Should last longer anyway and material was free ( thank you work!)
