I have been having problems plowing with my Wolvy since I got it because the plow can only be lifted 4-5 inches off the ground. This got me thinking this year how could I get it higher... I bought a small pulley from Tractor Supply today and mounted it up. I have to say I had fantastic results. The plow tip is not 9 inches off the ground which is a 100% improvement.
Mount the pulley on the plow angle stop with longer bolts than what are supplied
Loop your winch cable around the pulley. Tie a small piece of rope to the front bumper and attach the winch hook to it. This will help to prevent rubbing the factory paint off.
Now when you riase the plow the winch works 50% as hard because of the pulley and you can raise the tip much higher!
