I know im inexperienced so ill get that out of the way..
as i said in my newbie post this is my first OWNED quad.. i have been riding here and there for years but i finally bit the bullet..

anyway..

my truck has a 6 inch lift w 33 inch tires so the bed is pretty high making the ramps REALLY steep.. aside from buying new ramps, or extending the ramps i have.. what alternatives do i have to safley load and unload the ATV?

i was thinking a small winch setup mounted to the bed?
i would look cool doing it this way too!

what does the forum think? ???

Just get a set of the bi-fold aluminum ramps and you shouldn't have a problem even with the lift. This style ramp is much more stable than the classic wood plank style, you don't have to worry about sliding off the edge and they have bumper straps to keep them from kicking out. I think using a winch will get old really fast, it's going to be slow.

Dude, I got a Ram2500 with a 3" lift and rockin the 33's as well so I feel yah. My ramps are steep as all get out, people think I'm nuts to ride my quad in and out of the back of it, but I ALWAYS ALWAYS ALWAYS, make sure to have a bumper strap holding the ramps in place. I have the metal grated $40 Harbor Freight ramps and love them.

i didnt knwo harbor freight made ramps?

ill check them out..

i have aluminum tri fold ramps and they are jsut too steep for me as unexperienced as i am to ride in and out..

i might rid up a small winch to pull her in.. still debating.. and pricing options..

thanks all

more input is appreciated

awe hell just back up to a bank somewhere!?! i saw somewhere where someone loaded a utility fourwheeler on top of a freaking minivan....

I got a trailer from harbor freight. $200.00 brand new in the box.it measures 4x8 ,1000 pound load ,and carry the bike and all my gear. great buy.

back the back of your truck up to a hill or ditch and use the ramps only put the back tires in the ditch though always works

thanks everyone.. i might just buy a trailer.. harbor freight has one for 150 bucks 4x8 foot.. should do thejob!
