rear shock

Ok guys, I have a really good feeling on a deal i found on a rear elka shock, Only thing is that it is missing a retainer clip.
Anyone know what that is and what it does?
And most importantly, homw much does it cost?

i think its the retainer clip for the resavor he might of been rebuilding it and lost that if thats it u will need to get it recharged with nitigerion

Thanks, but i had a friend call elka for me and found out it is the clip that holds the spring in place and is abotu 25 bucks to repair.

Anyone know if a retainer clip is hard to install?

thay are eas to put in u loosen the shock jam nuts and push the spring up and put the clip in to place and pull the spring done and set it on the clip and tight tne jam nuts up ans reset the shock to the tention u want it at
