Alrighty so having some fun last night zippin around with some buddies zoom zoom few drunks havin a good time, buddy decides to hop on it i say ahhh go for it but gimme yer keys to the jeep (standard jeep). I say to myself sweet im ginna drive this jeep around and learn stick. All is good until buddy gets halfway down the street and calls me saying she over heated. Im thinkin fer **** sakes what am i gunna do now. So he completley shanks thr plug. I am now rebuilding this thing yet again. The motor doesnt have more then two months on it and shes fried. Note to self: do not let your buddies ride your toys thay dont know how to shift lol

Not too sure I, or anyone, can follow that...
So, did you drive the jeep around? (I say to myself sweet im ginna drive this jeep around and learn stick)

Was it a girl? (All is good until buddy gets halfway down the street and calls me saying she over heated)

Or a dude? (So he completley shanks thr plug.)

And what does that mean?? ( So he completley shanks thr plug.)

sounds like his buddy reved it out in 1st gear for the whole ride and never shifted which explains the overheating and fried motor

haha gen funny **** there
it all good
how the custom header coming? or are you waiting to see how it performs on westons first before you make mine?lol

Alright sorry for the jibberish, was a tad drunk at the time of writing the thread, plus I was using my phone, not the best combo.

Basically my buddy had it pinned in first gear before eventually shifting into second and then into third. He had it in 3rd for about 6-8 seconds and you couldn't hear the quad any more. I get a call from him saying the bike stopped dead and a huge cloud of smoke came from the engine. I don't have a standard truck, so obviously driving a standard vehicle is always fun, I was booting around in his jeep while he was riding my atv up and down the road. There were about 10 of us in total at his place just shooting the ****.

Here are some pics of the piston and head.

holy ****! that has got to be the worst carnage i have seen in long time.

i can totally make since of the drunk gibberish 1st post now lol.

Now, my question is, what would be the best method to go about fixing this? When I got the atv 3 months ago I put a new top end and head on it, and then this happens. I'm not really too interested in splitting the cases and digging around in there for the rest of the piston. I'm wondering why the valve would have snapped off (again) and caused this. I have a stage 1 hot cam and the bike ran fine before this happened. Any suggestions as to why this seems to be a reoccurring problem? Would a raptor 350 motor fit in my frame or should I stick to just getting a brand new warrior 350 motor?

there is no easy away around this other than getting a new motor to swap in there. and yes a raptor 350 is the same motor, it will work.

that thing needs major TLC

Tell me about it. I still can't figure out why the last time I rebuilt it, the valve was taken out and then again the valve was taken out.

it could be starving for oil up top. if it broke the valve the first time as well then that makes me think weak oil pump. dunno, revving it to the moon in the lower gears isn't good either as you can see.

I think maybe I'll install and rpm gauge just to be on the safe side for next time lol.

lets see..
crank $200
Head shell with rockers $75
cam $125-175
KB valves and springs $125ish
New piston $125ish
Bore and hone $80

so rebuilt its about $700-800 dollars and you got a fast motor, or
$400-600 and you get one off fleebay USED all stock without a single idea what has been done to it...

i think id rebuild it...

Honing I can do. It's already been bored out .40, head is gone, cylinder is gone, crankshaft is probably done, if not, just the connecting rod, I rebuilt it before for 400 including a used head with rockers valves and springs.

The cylinder is still gone though..the piston or valve cut a nice V in the bottom of the cylinder sleeve...what a beauty that was
