Red 1st gen hood needed NOW!!!

Accidentally melted mine today. Haven't found anything on ebay. Really not wanting to paint a blue or black hood. Has to be 1st gen.

Your tellin me! I started it up for one of the previous owners (good friends) and I didn't realize that the damn hood slid down to the header. Melted the left upper mounting tab clean off. Still usable, but I don't want a damaged piece on there, What condition are your hoods in? I could live with black over blue anyday. I may even get a black tank cover to make it match better. A shame because I cought a nice used red tank cover to replace the REALLY shitty cover on mine. Find out what shipping is and give me a pm. If it works out, I may be interested in trading someone my read tank cover (when it gets here) for their black one. Or I'll buy it, either way...

2 in good shape and 1 look like a fire happened under the hood but still looks ok and 1 that pretty massed up ... i also have black tank covers ... i got a hood and tank cover from MS and i think it was 13 bucks shipping

I have a red first gen hood but its not perfect and the red looked so bad i sprayed over it with fresh red to make it better,, has two extra holes in the front cuz someone put a bar under it, i gess for added stalbility,, look at the pics of my bike its on there, the red one!!!!

i painted my yeller tank and hood black, didnt want to, but extremely happy with fusion, i met a guy in da woods and he couldnt believe that it was painted, took him a few to find yeller by a bolt hole

Yup. I started it up for a customer on Tuesday (used to own it before the guy I got it from) and I didn't realise the hood slid down onto the header. I leave the igniton switch in the cover whenever I have it off. Looks like I'm going to end up buying a blue one and painting the damn thing...
