Hi,
Having some issues with a 97 warrior. I decided I would try to get the reverse light working and found the sensor on the left side of the crank near the back opposite of the lead going in from the shifter. Removed the sensor and the little piston on the inside that is suppose to move in and out was stuck in. replaced the sensor and still no light.
the problem seems to be with the sensor fully threaded in it's not reaching whatever is inside it's suppose to ride against. I shifted the quad into reverse, and looked inside the sensor hole and can see what it's suppose to be touching, i put a small length of wire inside up against this and to the sensor, light comes on.
I used the wire to get a rough estimate of the distance from the hole to what the sensor is suppose to be touching and the length seems to be about 1/8-3/8" longer than the sensor. Anybody run into this?
