It about 20 miles from altoona, if you want ill be happy to show you around. Like if you need parts or race fuel anything like that i can hook you up. You can get race fuel (any kind) about 12 mins away from rock run. Theres also alot of yamaha dealers/parts shops within about 45 mins of rock run. And one local honda dealer (you can ride there from my house on a quad in about 5mins) that stock the essentials (spark plugs, oil, filters, gloves, boots, goggles)
Id like to tell you there is alot of riding around here but there isnt haha. Back when i first started riding (on my own) there was so much to do and so many places to go and ride. Now everything is posted and etc. Thats why rock run is the greatest place to ever come around here, at this time we really need it.
But like i said let me know, ill be happy to show you around, theres lots to do during the summer.
Rock run is a pretty nice place to ride. Last time when i went it was really wet out, but by the time the afternoon came around it was dry and dusty. Its pretty fun, but not really that many jumps and stuff like that, but it may have changed by now, but they are some really nice groomed trails.
The Advanced sections of the trails were nothing too "advanced" in my book but it does take some skill to get through them.
I almost got in trouble last year when i was climbing the first rocky hill. There was a bruin going up so i waited untill he was about 3/4 of the way up then took off because there were people in line figuring i wouldnt catch him. Well turns out i caught him in no time at all and i had to pass him by basically jumping a boulder on the side of the trail, but i had no choice it was either that or crash and burn.
Last time we had a few drag races going maybe you can hop in and clean up. Last year i was the champion out of all the quads in our group. If your around ill be in trouble haha.
