hey guys, i have some questions im pretty new to engines and stuff i know the basics but theres some things i dont understand like what is a port and polish job and im not sure how a cam works and what it does. any help would be good

Port and polishing aids in flow and atomization to the combustion chamber. The motor is like a big air pump, if you can get air in and out faster the better it is. Cams open and close the valves in the head. They all open valves in different amounts and close them at different times.
