I wanted to say hello to all of the members here.
Looks like a nice bunch of people. I have been lerking for a little while now.

I just picked up what was supposed to be a 2002 Warrior
but when we ran the VIN number it came back 1989....>:

So....I guess I am going to be needing help etc. with a 1989.

Is there anything I should look out for with a 1989 model?
What are the some of the known problems, etc.

I'll post specific questions as I run into trouble.

Thanks in advance,
Charlie

Yea that sucks..People do that to get more money its a bunch of bs thats why I will run a vin right in front of them.. Well at least its not a first gen so you can get +2 a arms and stuff..But welcome to the site and enjoy..

Ya that sucsk but jeffs right at least u have a 2nd gen. glad to have u aboard were all here to help enjoy

Thanks guys for the warm welcoming.

I am looking forward to getting in some seat-time, but I have to fix a
few problems like the air cleaner box and some chain rollers.

The last owner burned the airbox with the exhaust and the upper and lower chain rollers do not exist on the bike. Crazy young kid owned it but didn't take care of it much.

Welcome to the forum, hope you like it here!

I had an '89 also. :)
