shock send it off or not

i have two options i m looking at right now and could use some help. i m looking at this on ebay but i have never worked on a shock at all but would like to learn.

or i can sen off my stock shock to have works do a heart transplant to it

what is your thoughts on each option and or experience

Id send it off it was me. least you dont have to pay for the replacement parts, just the labor. There are plenty of places out there that rebuild them, Leave that to the professionals I say.
