Ok.. So heres the background, today I got and offer from a guy I know from school on a 2000 Warrior, Its got an HMF slip on, DG Nerfs, skidplates, and bumper. The price he wants is $2000

so what do you think? Good deal?

sounds like a pretty good deal to me. did he say there is anything wrong with it or that it needs anything? if not its a very good deal.

Make sure it was not beat, ask him him many hours he had between oil changes and valve adjustments.... check wheel bearings, make sure its a solid bike

If it's in good shape then it's a good deal, but a lot can happen to a quad in 7 years so make sure you look it over good, especially for frame damage.

I bought a 96 banshee for $2000 and the guy said he never rode it. A week later I had to redo the top end! (rings and hone)

I paid $1850 for mine with the same year and same stuff except for the Hmf pipe, so yea its a great deal as long is its not beat.

I was able to get mine as it is sitting in my description for about $2k. Make sure the frame is in good shape, it starts and runs fine (no smoke from the exhaust). Other than those things there isn't much you can do in someone else's garage... If it starts fine, and there isn't too loud of a ticking (if it doesn't have a cam, if it is loud, and has a cam, then it could be normal, ask what kind, and see what lift. refer to here for the loudness of it if available) then it should be in decent enough shape that we can talk you through any worries.

I know, Where I live I'd be able to pry it away from him for $1,750 cash, if not I'd be able to pick up a 400ex, or Z400 w/ comparable mods for that price.
