fresh rebuild new starter new battery new piston rings jug bored sounds like starter clutch slips then catches and binds even when pulling behind truck in six gear its difficult to turn over when fires up runs very strong any help would be great thanks

yes timing is fine it does run good it just takes forever to get it to turn over to fire up

was wondering does the warrior have a auto decompressor in the head it seems like to much compression to turn over fast take the spark plug out turns over fast and easy

if it's an 87 or 88 yes it's a manual decomp lever on the exhaust valve cover

Did you check the tolerances piston-cylinder?
Was is extremely tight when you installed piston and rings?
Did u install piston with arrow or dot on top towards exhaust.

yea if ya installed a piston that was too tight then i could be like a formula 1 car engine; its basically seized until its warmed up!
