would like to know what kit to get to rebuild the lower end of my 02 warrior
if you can give me the links to the kits and or any other parts I would need like bearings and seals, clutch, crank, push rod and bearings, full engine gasket kit, don't know yet if I'll have to redo the top end. also any speicial tools that I'll need like flywheel puller and clutch tool or whatever else is needed I think I'm gonna tackle this myself I have the Clymer manual and am very mechanically inclined I do all the work on my cars and have rebuilt the top end of a 92 skidoo formula plus liquid cooled twin. The only thing that worries me is the gears getting mixed up and setting the timing any and all help would be greatly appreciated.

I haven't done a bottom end on a warrior, however, you will need a plywheel puller, you can make your own clutch holder or a toyota cam gear holder works great, matter of fact some clutch kits come with or offer a clutch holder. A case splitter is the best way to seperate them. If you read the bottom end tear down in the clymer manual they show and explain it without the use of a case splitter. But it does what it name implies. The manual also shows you how to make a clutch holder. You can get the puller from dealer, ebay, denniskirk, etc... You may want to get a small slap hammer set to remove any trans bearings that are pressed into cases. Dennis kirk also sells a blind bearing remover. If you get a new crank it will probably come with the left side bearing already installed. You would only have to install the right side bearing into the case. If the new crank doesn't have the left side bearing installed you'll need the use of a hydralic press to install it and the timing chain gear on the crank. Pretty much just read the bottom end rebuild section of the manual. As for what crank to use, either rebuild your old one or go with the wiseco or hot rods set ups. Both are good choices. I have a friend who builds gncc race bikes and has nothing bad to say about either. The wiseco kit does come with a complete gasket set.

Need to pull it down first to analyze the damage.
Then put your action plan together.

You're just guessing at the needs otherwise.

The motor swap is complete!

well just finished putting the motor from my 92 warrior into my 02 warrior just swapped the flywheel and stator and she runs like a dream put some fresh oil and a new filter in her and now she's ready for the trails. Talked to the power sports place here and showed them the blown motor from the 02 and they said they will rebuild the crank put new bearings and seals connecting rod piston rings and complete gasket kit and bore the cylinder .040 over parts plus labor $550 so dropping the 02 motor off next week so they can get started and the nice thing is they will let me do a payment plan on it so when it's payed in full I can pick it up don't have to come up with all the money right away:tup:plus they let me borrow there flywheel puller for the weekend for $15 but If I decide to keep it it will only be $35 for it nice People
